LAHORE: The Punjab Information Commission (PIC) has asked 41 deputy commissioners in the province to make public the income from the civil officers clubs in their districts and provide details of its numbers by Friday (today).
Chief Information Commissioner Syed Mehboob Qadir Shah expressed his displeasure saying only three deputy commissioners, Lahore, Bahawalpur and Narowal, have so far provided details of the clubs established in their districts.
Bahawalpur and Narowal deputy commissioners provided the certificate of registration of the civil officers club, memorandum of association, membership number (life members, permanent members, outstation members, regular members and temporary members), membership fee, monthly fee and other details. The PIC chief said orders were also issued to all the deputy commissioners for disclosing information within 14 days under the Right to Information Act. The orders could not be implemented yet, he said.
