ASI arrested red-handed taking bribe

LAHORE: Anti-Corruption Lahore Region A along with the magistrate raided and arrested ASI Investigation Gulberg police station Rehmat Ali red-handed for taking bribe from a citizen to help in the bail of his brother.

Accused ASI, who has already received Rs55,000 from the citizen and demanded another Rs10,000 for facilitation. Regional Director ACE Lahore A Ahsan Munir Bhatti, on the application of the citizen, ordered the CO Lahore to immediately take action. On which CO Syed Sohail Akhlaq along with the magistrate arrested the accused ASI red handed and recovered the marked currency notes from his possession. A case has also been registered against the accused.
