Man stabbed to death by brother
LAHORE:A man stabbed his bother to death over a domestic dispute in Kahna. Reportedly, the suspect Sajjad had a dispute with his brother. He was so frustrated that he attacked the victim with knife. The victim Bilal received serious injuries and died. Police arrested the suspect.
Three shot at, injured over monetary issue
Three people were shot and injured by five persons in Kahna police area on Tuesday, following a monetary issue. The injured identified as Waqas, son of Zulfiqar Ali of Shahzad Colony, Shimon, 19, son of Patras, and Sajda, wife of Ali Raza, were shifted to hospital. The accused involved in the firing were identified as Arshad, Majid Bhatti, Shahid and two accomplices.
1,330 arrested for kite flying
Police have launched a crackdown on kite flyers in the City. This action comes in the wake of various operations conducted last month against kite flying, resulting in the registration of 1,285 cases and the arrest of 1,330 individuals. This was stated by Lahore police spokesman in a press release on Tuesday. He said among the arrested individuals, there are 1,223 kite flyers, 95 kite sellers, and 12 kite manufacturers.
The apprehended individuals were found in possession of over 19,700 kites and 1116 string rolls. Arrests were made in different areas, including 308 individuals in City Division, 296 in Cantonment, 108 in Civil Lines, 214 in Sadar, 157 in Iqbal Town, and 247 in Model Town.
CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamyana issued directives for utilising modern technology to arrest individuals involved in online kite flying businesses, in addition to taking effective measures to dismantle kite making and supply networks.
He urged parents to prevent their children from engaging in this life-threatening hobby of kite flying.Meanwhile, five suspects were arrested for kite flying and injuring a youth in Nawankot. According to Muhammad Akmal, he along with his son Ali Abbass was asleep at his rooftop. His son observed that five suspects were flying kites at nearby roof.
He asked them to stop it. Meanwhile, the suspects pulled kite sting so hard that Ali Abbass received injuries. On complaint police registered a case and arrested the suspects.
Woman hit to death
A 28-year-old woman died and her two children injured after a bus hit a motorbike in Raiwind. The victims were riding a bike and going somewhere. As they reached near Kingra Jia Bagga Road, a bus hit their bike. They fell down and received serious injuries. The victim identified as Rubina died. In another incident reported at Lahore Ring Road near Ibrahim Colony, a motorcyclist died after being hit by a tractor-trolley.
4 injured in gas cylinder blast
Four persons were injured when a gas cylinder exploded in a house in Badami Bagh police area on Tuesday. Emergency rescue services swiftly responded with six emergency vehicles to conduct rescue operation as a fire erupted following the explosion.
The fire broke out in the house due to cylinder explosion. The persons injured in the cylinder explosion were identified as Muawiya, 14, Mudassar, 23, Tahira, 45, and Raheel, 29. All the four injured persons were shifted to the hospital.
