QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti ordered the chief secretary to dismiss 2,000 absenting teachers in the province.
In a high-level meeting regarding the Education Department, the chief minister directed the chief secretary of Balochistan to fire the absentee teachers and submit a report within a month. However, even if any teacher is found absent, action will be taken against the Education Secretary.
The chief minister said that there would be no interference in the Education Department and District Education Officers should be appointed on merit.
The chief minister said that Rs5,625 are being spent per child per month in Balochistan and about Rs72,000 are being spent per child per year.
With such expenses, every child can study in the highest private educational institution of the country.
