SIC nominates Bachar as temporary opposition leader in Punjab Assembly

LAHORE: Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) has nominated Malik Ahmad Khan Bachar as the Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly (PA) on temporary basis.
The SIC head Sahibzada Hamid Raza, after consulting the party leadership nominated Malik Ahmad Khan Bachar for the slot. The party leadership stated that Mian Aslam Iqbal had not been allowed to take oath. Until Malik Aslam Iqbal takes oath, Bachar will serve as the Opposition leader.
