Adviser wants more facilities for special children
PESHAWAR: Advisor to Chief Minister for Zakat, Usher, Social Welfare and Women Development, Mashal Yousafzai, on Tuesday directed the officials to conduct a survey in districts to find out the exact number of special children.
“This should be done so that new special education institutions can be established as per their needs,” she said while presiding over an introductory meeting of the officers and district directors of the department.
The advisor was informed about the ongoing projects of the department and the problems along with the challenges faced in different districts.
The adviser said measures should be taken for transporting children in the Special Education Institute and vehicles should be arranged on rent wherever necessary. The adviser said every officer and official will not remain posted in one place for more than three years.
She sought information on Ramazan Dastarkhawan, free meal, and said no negligence would be tolerated in this regard. The adviser directed district directors to take measures to include poor widows in the Ramazan relief package. She said the facilities in Darulaman (shelter homes) should be improved
