LDA DG furious over late coming staff, officers
LAHORE: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Tahir Farooq expressed serious anger after he found majority of LDA staff including some officers violating the office timings.
The new LDA DG visited different sections of LDA building, including Town Planning, CMP Wing and Shifting Cell at 9.30 am on Monday and was surprised to see that many staffers as well as officers were not present in their offices. He also inquired from the staff present in the offices about their working.
He said that if the officer himself does not come to the office on time, then how can he maintain the discipline and improve the working in his office. He warned that strict action will be taken against the officers and the staff who do not follow the office time. Tahir Farooq said that the officers should improve service delivery and culture of LDA as per the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab.
On this occasion Additional DG Housing Owais Mushtaq, Chief Engineer LDA Asrar Saeed, Chief Engineer LDA Mazhar Hussain, Chief Town Planner Azhar Ali, Director Admin, Director DG Headquarters and Director C&I Kaleem Yusuf were also present. Later, LDA DG visited LDA One Window Cell for the first time after assuming charge and reviewed the working at Senior Citizen Counter, Qmatic System, E-Service. The performance of One Window Cell will be reviewed on a daily basis, he announced. Additional DG Housing, Director One Window One and Director One Window gave briefings.
Tahir Farooq instructed the officers and staff to treat the citizens with a positive attitude. There will be no compromise on service delivery, he said directing that the valuable time of the citizens should be taken care of. He said that an open door policy will be adopted to solve the problems of the citizens and concrete steps should be taken to improve the image of LDA.
