IGP visits Centre for Public Safety
LAHORE: Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar visited Centre for Public Safety, Model Town on Sunday.
He inspected various parts of the under-construction building. Officers briefed IGP on the ongoing work. He that a special desk would be set up in the Centre for Public Safety to provide policing services to women citizens.
Negligent cops won’t be tolerated: CCPO
CCPO Lahore chaired a performance review meeting of the Investigation Wing at his office. The CCPO instructed the Divisional SPs to promptly address pending investigation cases.
While expressing dissatisfaction with the unsatisfactory performance of certain officers, the CCPO warned that any lack of interest in fulfilling duties would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He said that issues concerning female complainants should be resolved on a priority basis.
He instructed SSP (Investigation) to monitor the investigation proceedings and ensure the regular monitoring of the performance of Divisional Officers.
