LAHORE: A few days after Maryam Nawaz assumed charge as chief minister Punjab, massive reshuffle of the Punjab bureaucracy took place on Friday.
Transfer and posting orders of 56 officers were issued, including those of chairman P&D Board and principal secretary to the Punjab governor.
According to a notification, Nabeel Ahmad Awan, principal secretary to the Punjab governor, was transferred, with an immediate effect and posted as chairman, Planning & Development (P&D) Board, Punjab vice Flt. Lt. (retd) Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, already transferred and posted as secretary Agriculture Department.
Fuad Hashim Rabbani, secretary Management & Professional Development Department, was posted as additional chief secretary south Punjab vice Capt (retd) Saqib Zafar, already transferred and posted as principal secretary to Punjab governor; Capt. (retd) Asadullah Khan, chairman Chief Minister’s Inspection Team, was posted as secretary Housing Urban Development & Public Health Engineering Department; Shakeel Ahmad, secretary Home Department, was posted as secretary Local Government & Community Development Department, against a vacant post; Capt. (retd) Noorul-Amin Mengal, awaiting posting, was posted as secretary Home Department; and Rashid Kamalur-Rehman, secretary Environment Protection Department, was directed to report to Services & General Administration Department for further orders.
Javed Akhtar Mahmood, OSD, was posted as secretary Auqaf & Religious Affairs Department; Dr Nasir Iqbal Malik, secretary (Archives & Libraries Wing) of S&GAD, was posted as chief economist, Planning & Development Board; Ali Bahadur Qazi, member (Enquiries-I), S&GAD, was posted as secretary Human Rights & Minorities Affairs; Dr Muhammad Shoaib, secretary Punjab Human Rights & Minorities Affairs, was posted as secretary Management & Professional Development Department; Dr Tahir Raza Bukhari, secretary Auqaf & Religious Affairs Department, was posted as DG Religious Affairs/ Punjab Auqaf Organisation against a vacant post; Iqbal Hussain, chief executive officer, Punjab Public Private Partnership Authority (PPPPA), was posted as secretary Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department; Muhammad Usman, secretary Food Department, was posted as chief executive officer PPPPA; Moazzam Iqbal Sipra, chief economist, Planning & Development Board, was posted as secretary to Government of the Punjab Food Department; Zahoor Hussain, secretary Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department, was posted as secretary (Archives & Libraries Wing) of S&GAD; Muzaffar Khan, secretary Planning & Development Board, was posted as secretary Youth Affairs & Sports Department; Dr Asif Tufail, director general Sports & Youth Affairs, was posted as secretary Punjab, Planning & Development Board; and Pervez Iqbal, awaiting posting, was posted as director general, Sports & Youth Affairs.
