ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Senator Ishaq Dar, who held the portfolio of finance minister in the last federal government, will be given the portfolio of foreign minister this time.
According to Geo News, sources revealed that Dar would be the foreign minister in the cabinet of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while former caretaker foreign minister Jalil Abbas Jilani would serve as the advisor to the prime minister on foreign affairs and Tariq Fatemi would be made special assistant on foreign affairs.
Sources said that Dar was also present in Thursday’s meeting which Prime Minister Shehbaz held with the former caretaker foreign minister and foreign secretary.
During the meeting, Jilani gave a detailed briefing to the prime minister about developments in various foreign affairs during the caretaker set-up.
