ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said on Wednesday that it was next to impossible to move forward with the recently-held elections rigged massively, which was now evident from Form 45 uploaded on the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) website.

Addressing a news conference here, the PTI chairman said the party would show rigging evidence of the constituencies where PTI-backed candidates were defeated with overnight changes in the results, by comparing Form 45s of the ECP with the original ones available with all candidates.

He alleged that the polls fraud evidence became even clearer now after the ECP published Form 45s on its website.

Gohar was flanked by senior party members, including Taimur Jhagra and Salman Akram Raja, who claimed that the PTI had obtained 90 percent of Form 45s on the polling day and they differed from the ones uploaded by the ECP, which clearly showed that massive rigging took place.

Gohar called for increasing the numbers of election tribunals so as to swiftly decide the rigging disputes i.e. “the polls fraud that was further exposed in the massively tampered Form 45 published by the ECP on its website”. It was crucial, he noted, to reclaim the “stolen public mandate from mandate thieves and return it to the real elected public representatives”.

He reiterated that his party was triumphant on 180 National Assembly seats in the elections under original Form 45s. But, he added, “our mandate was stolen through results tampering, which is unprecedented in the political history of the country”.

The PTI chairman went on to say that the scale of poll fraud could be judged from the fact that the voter turnout across the country stood at 40 percent. However, he added that in some places the voter turnout even jumped over 100 percent.

He made it clear that they would move tribunals against the ECP’s decisions and would hold demonstrations until they get back the stolen public mandate.

Speaking on the occasion, Taimur Jhagra said that Form-45 published by the electoral watchdog on its website made the air further clear regarding the election fraud because forms were massively tampered.

Salman Akram Raja said that people saw themselves as to how their mandate was robbed on 8th and 9th of February. He said that in no elections in the past, the results had been tampered on such a large scale, as his results remained unchanged but his rival candidate’s votes were tampered at such a massive level that it largely impacted the turnouts, which was increased massively.
