SWABI: A young football player, Farhan Khan, died when his motorcycle was struck by an unidentified car here, police officials said on Saturday.
The incident occurred on Jehangira Road in Swabi city near Sadat CNG, where a speeding car hit his motorcycle, leaving him severely injured.
Farhan lay helpless on the roadside for a prolonged period before being taken to District Headquarters Hospital, Swabi, and subsequently referred to Rawalpindi CMH, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Family members of Farhan have demanded an immediate arrest of
those responsible for the accident and called for strict punishment.
“Farhan, a player of Pakistan Air Force, was a talented footballer, a national asset, and a beloved son. His sudden demise has deeply saddened everyone,” remarked one of his
relatives.
An FIR has been lodged at Swabi Police Station against the unidentified individuals involved in the incident. Farhan was also a former player of the Pakistan under-19 football team.
