ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf has ordered to identify the member of the House who threw the face mask of PTI founder at PMLN Quaid Nawaz Sharif on Thursday noon when he was signing the register in the national legislature after taking oath as a member of the house.
The speaker was also present on the occasion and the mask that landed at the shoulder of Shehbaz Sharif passed close to Nawaz but didn’t touch him. The sources told The News Thursday evening that Nawaz Sharif was shielded by his party members including Hanif Abbasi, Malik Ibrar and Shehbaz Sharif during sloganeering against Nawaz Sharif.
Sources said close-circuit cameras have caught the image of the head of concerned PTI member from the back. The vigilance wing of the Parliament House has been instructed by the speaker to produce evidence today so that an appropriate action could be taken against the responsible member. It is likely that once the member is identified, he could be expelled from the House for one or more sessions of the National Assembly.
