59 Balochistan PA members take oath

QUETTA: The 59 newly-elected members of the Balochistan Assembly took the oath of their office during the first session of the assembly held here on Wednesday.
The session started with recitation from the Holy Quran after which member from PB-50 Killa Abdullah Engineer Zamrak Khan Achakzai, who was appointed the presiding officer, administered the oath to new members.
Separately, a demonstration under the aegis of Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party and Awami National Party was staged at the GPO Chowk near the Balochistan Assembly against rigging in elections. The Hazara Democratic Party also held a demonstration on the Zarghoon Road.
Meanwhile, with the oath-taking of newly-elected members of Balochistan, the formation of provincial government of Balochistan started. On Wednesday, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) nominated Ghazala Gola for the post of Deputy Speaker, Balochistan Assembly.
