Son shot dead in front of mother

NOWSHERA: A son was fatally shot while walking home with his family in Azakhel area of the district on Wednesday.

Ms Asiya reported to the police that she, along with her son Jawad Ali and daughter-in-law Fatima, were walking home when they encountered armed assailants. She said the armed men opened fire, killing Jawad Ali.

The victim was first taken to a health facility, but he succumbed to his injuries. The attackers fled the scene before the arrival of law-enforcement personnel. The police said they had started an investigation into the incident.

Man killed in Akora Khattak: Meanwhile, a man was shot dead in Akora Khattak area on Wednesday, the police said.The motive behind the attack remained unknown as investigations continued, the police said.

Muhabbat Khan, the victim, was returning home after Isha prayers when he was targeted by two assailants riding a motorcycle. The perpetrators fled the scene immediately after the incident.Adil Khan, a son of the deceased, reported the incident to the police, stating that his family had no known enmity with anyone.
