PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers from the Bajaur tribal district staged a protest here on Sunday to demand the arrest of the killers of the party’s local leader Rehan Zeb Khan.
They gathered outside the Peshawar Press Club to express anger at the non-arrest of the killers of the party leader who was a candidate for the NA-8 and PK-22 seats. The protesters were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans that sought immediate arrest of the killers.
They raised slogans, demanding justice for the aggrieved family. The protesters, most of them youth, asked the government to take concrete steps to control lawlessness in the Bajaur district.
Rehan Zeb was killed in firing by unidentified gunmen in the Siddiqabad area of the district on January 31 while canvassing for elections. Rehan Zeb Khan was contesting the election as an independent candidate after the PTI did not award him a ticket.
