Tribal elder killed

HANGU: Unidentified gunmen shot dead a tribal elder at Ferozkhel area in lower parts of the Orakzai tribal district on Saturday, a police official said.
A DSP Rahim Khan said that the tribal elder Shah Mohammad Khan was standing in front of a market at Headquarter Chowk when unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle opened fire on him. He said that the tribal elder was killed on the spot in the firing. The attackers fled the scene after committing the crime. The police arrived at the spot and launched a search operation, but no arrests could be made. In 2013, Adam Khan, a brother of the slain tribal elder, was also killed in a bomb blast.
