Three killed in road accidents

HARIPUR: Three persons, including a minor boy, were killed in two separate road accidents here on Saturday.

Police quoted eyewitnesses as saying that a minor boy later identified as Gulraiz, 6, was killed when a speeding motorcar hit him while crossing the road in Kangra Colony. The car driver sped away after hitting the boy who was later shifted to Trauma Centre where the doctors pronounced him as dead.

The second road accident was reported from near Sera-e-Gadai where a motorcycle crashed against a passenger bus, killing both the riders on the spot. Police said that two friends were on the way to Jhari Kas from Haripur side on the motorcycle. A passenger bus, they said, hit their bike near Sera-e-Gadai bus, killing them on the spot. The deceased were identified as Shahid Niaz and Faizan Khursheed. The area people shifted the bodies to Trauma Centre.
