‘Pleasant environment, teamwork key to run a system efficiently’

LAHORE : The PGMI/AMC Principal Prof Al-Fareed Zafar has said that there must be a pleasant environment, teamwork and coordination to run the system of any hospital efficiently and extend best medical facilities to the patients.

Prof Al-Fareed Zafar expressed these views while addressing the farewell ceremony organised by Punjab Paramedical Staff Association (PPSA), Lahore General Hospital/PINS in honour of 12 employees retiring from government service on Saturday.

Provincial President Association Rana Pervez and other officials welcomed the distinguished guests and presented flower bouquets.

Principal LGH Prof Al-Fareed Zafar further said that if the staff welfare associations and other organizations established in hospitals make sincere efforts to serve the patients with their positive activities and play a role in running the affairs of the hospital better, then their actions will be considered as precious and humanitarian which will be not less than worship.

He added that sincere efforts are indispensable for which administrative doctors, general medical worker and admin staff have to discharge their responsibilities with dutifulness, honesty and professional dedication then we can meet the standards of the medical profession. He urged the people associated with medical profession to brighten up their world and the hereafter by putting a smile on the faces of the injured ones and treat the sick people with a smile.

Prof Al-Fareed Zafar extended his best wishes to the retiring employees. He said that the retired employees are part of the hospital family and our doors will always be remained open for them. He also instructed the hospital administration not to delay any kind of pension and other dues of the employees retiring at the age of 60 so that they do not face any financial difficulties.

ED PINS Prof Asif Bashir, MS LGH Prof Dr Nudrat Sohail, Nursing Officer Razia Shamim, Shazia Kausar and President YDA Dr Haseeb Thind were present on this occasion. They said that Paramedical Staff Association (PSA) continued a beautiful tradition by organising this farewell ceremony in honour of the retired employees and presenting them with a commemorative shield. This beautiful tradition should remain going on in the future, as well, they added. They said that the Paramedical Staff Association has carried out a good streak by organizing this event for the said employees for which they deserve to be congratulated. Provincial President of the Association Rana Pervaiz while addressing the event said that the paramedical staff plays a very important role in taking care of the patients and their families coming to the hospital and guiding them to the relevant departments, due to which the patients reach to their desired section urgently.

They expressed this determination that the members of the Paramedical staff Association will continue to perform their duties diligently alongside the doctors in the service of the suffering humanity and discharge their responsibilities in the hospital system with the same befitting manner.

The employees thanked PSA Provincial President Rana Pervez and his team for organising such prestigious event and said that these are the happy moments of their life which they can never forget. Leaders of paramedical staff association of hospitals of the provincial capital, officials of APCA Unit General Hospital, allied health professionals including Aftab Waris, Amanat Ali, Shehzad Roshan, Majeed Raj, Aamir Javed and others were present on this occasion.
