FIA arrests woman on US consulate’s complaint
The Federal Investigation Agency’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi on Saturday arrested a woman for allegedly submitting fake documents to get a US visa for a client.
The spokesman for the FIA said that the action against the woman, identified as Maryam, was taken on a request from the US consulate. The woman runs a consultancy in the name of Global Step Private.
The Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, after receiving the complaint, started an inquiry and found the woman involved in fraud and forgery.
A team conducted a raid in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, arrested the suspect and seized incriminating material. During the investigation, it was found that the woman submitted fake educational documents to get a visa for her client. She made fake degrees in connivance with other accomplices.
Further investigations are underway and raids are being conducted to arrest the other suspects.
