KARACHI: The Administrative Judge of the Anti-Terrorism Courts (ATCs), Muhammad Farooq Shah, who permitted physical remand of Uzair Baloch for interrogation in two cases lodged at the Nabi Bukhsh police station, ordered submission of the JIT report to the court within 15 days.
Uzair Baloch was handed over to the Nabi Bukhsh police by the Rangers which had kept Baloch for 90 days under Section 11-EEEE of the Protection of Pakistan Act. The Investigation Officer (IO) on Wednesday prayed the court to grant physical remand of the Lyari gang war leader, Uzair Baloch, for 14 days for dealing with the two cases lodged with the Nabi Bukhsh police station regarding police encounter and possession of illegal arms and explosive material.
The court, however, permitted keeping of custody of Uzair Baloch for three days and directed production of Uzair before the ATC after the expiry of three days’ time period. The court also ordered presentation of the JIT report within 15 days.
