Chattha was bought for Rs250m, claims Raja Riaz
In a press conference in Faisalabad, Raja Riaz said that Liaquat Chattha had made a big allegation
FAISALABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leader and former opposition leader Raja Riaz has alleged that former Rawalpindi Commissioner Liaquat Chattha was bought for Rs 250 million and given a flat in New York through overseas Pakistanis.
In a press conference in Faisalabad, Raja Riaz said that Liaquat Chattha had made a big allegation. “I want to tell about his past. He has worked in Faisalabad for 20 years; he was the most corrupt magistrate. He falsely accused the Chief Election Commissioner and Chief Justice of corruption after taking money near his retirement,” he alleged.
“Liaquat Chattha's name should be put on the ECL and an inquiry should be launched. The last posting to Liaqat Chattha was given by Usman Buzdar for Rs50 million,” he alleged. He said that the PTI tried to repeat May 9 last day but failed.
