Two robbers held, SHO injured in encounters

Police encounters led to the arrest of two suspected robbers, with SHO sustaining injuries during the confrontations in District Central of the city on Friday.

In the Liaquatabad area, near Baloch Hotel, an encounter resulted in the injury and subsequent capture of a suspected robber identified as Farhan. Additionally, Liaquatabad SHO Faizul Hasan sustained injuries from a sharp object during the exchange. He was transported to a hospital for medical attention, while the injured suspect was also taken to receive medical care. The police were investigating Farhan’s criminal record, and a case was registered regarding the incident.

Another police encounter occurred in the Sharae Noor Jahan area. While patrolling the area, police officers intervened as two individuals on a motorcycle were robbing a citizen named Abdul Majid near Sakhi Hassan Tower in Shadman Town. The culprits attempted to flee upon spotting the police, opening fire at the officers. In response, the police returned fire, injuring and apprehending one suspect identified as Imran, son of Abdul Rahman, while his accomplice, Tahir, managed to escape. Upon Imran’s arrest, authorities recovered a 30-bore pistol, three mobile phones, and a motorcycle. Efforts were underway to locate and apprehend the fleeing suspect Tahir, and investigations into the incident were ongoing.
