Governor to launch Saylani’s educational, skill development programme today

Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori will be the chief guest at the launching ceremony of a new project of the non-profit Saylani Welfare International Trust here on Sunday (today) aimed at promoting educational and skill development facilities for the youth from the underprivileged communities.

The new project “Umeed ki Kiran” is being launched after the success of the mass IT education drive of the Saylani Trust.

The ceremony to launch the project will be held at Al-Mohsin Sweet Homes and Educational Complex near Nasir Jump in Korangi area of the city. Founder and Chairman Saylani Welfare Trust Maulana Bashir Farooq Qadri will present the welcome address and annual progress report of his non-profit.

A spokesman for the Saylani Trust said the new project had been envisaged to extend the facilities of quality education and skill development training to youth in every underprivileged household in the country.

Meanwhile, the fourth “Smart job fair” under the aegis of Saylani Welfare International Trust was held on Saturday at Qayyumabad Chowrangi from 11 am to 4pm. Prospective employers from the private sector conducted walk-in interviews with a large number of job-seekers who attended the job fair.

Earlier, the Saylani Trust held three such job fairs at different locations in Karachi. The fourth and final job fair will be held at Saylani Trust’s branch at Malir Halt on February 20.
