MANSEHRA: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO)’s employees on Saturday took out a rally and suspended power supply to demand action against the police for allegedly torturing one of their colleagues.
“We strongly condemn the arrest and torture of our colleague in the trump-up charges. We will widen our ongoing agitation, if action is not taken against the SHO of the Lassan Nawab Police Station,” Jamil Ahmad Tanoli, the chairman of Peshawar Electric Supply Company employees union, told the rally.
The rally, which was started from outside Wapda Circle offices, culminated at the same point after marching through Kashmir Road.
The protesters raised slogans to demand action against the SHO Mohammad Saad.
