LGH MS forms body to probe patient’s death

LAHORE : The Lahore General Hospital MS Prof Dr Nudrat Sohail formed a three-member investigation committee to probe patient’s death.
The committee comprised of Associate Professor of Medicine Dr Ghiyasul Hasan, DMS Dr Javed Mumtaz and Deputy Chief Nursing Superintendent Shazia Kausar.
The committee will submit report within 48 hours. According to information, an 82-year-old patient, Sheikh Khushi Muhammad, a resident of Atari Saroba, died in the LGH emergency Tuesday due to the alleged negligence of the hospital staff. The patient's son, Sheikh Rashid, alleged that the hospital staff conducted ECG and injected after the death of the patient just to hide their negligence.
