LAHORE : A delegation of German and Belgian water company visited the Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority (PAPA) head office here on Tuesday. The delegation was briefed on the situation of drinking water in Punjab.
PAPA CEO Syed Zahid Aziz said that modern filtration technologies of drinking water were discussed during the bilateral meeting. We are planning to install drinking water projects on 37 small dams located in North Punjab. Canal water will be cleaned in brackish water areas in central and south Punjab, he added. P&D Wasa Director Zeeshan Bilal briefed the delegation on the water situation in Lahore. The said company specialised in manufacturing advanced ceramic membranes for water filtration and intended to introduce international standard water projects in Punjab.
