Mian Aslam who is known personality of Islamabad is contesting elections from NA-46 has made public his manifesto while keeping in view the local needs and problems being faced by residents of the federal capital for years. Some basic issues like shortage of water, insufficient health facilities and lack of educational institutions and increasing rates of property and rents of residential buildings are on top the manifesto.

Another plan is to protect natural springs flowing from Margalla Hills from pollution and mixing sewerage water. The JI candidate feels that there is also need to expedite development of stalled residential sectors in order to reduce rates of property and monthly rents due connivance of property mafia.
Mian Aslam has also come up with unique proposal that not local government should be made functional but Islamabad should also have its own governor like provinces making necessary changes in Constitution of Pakistan.
