Party polls put off because activists are in hiding: Imran

RAWALPINDI: PTI founder Imran Khan said Friday he had postponed the intra-party election because party’s activists were in hiding.

Speaking to the media in Adiala Jail, he said that during his imprisonment in Attock Jail, he was given an offer, which revealed the condition that “play in turns.”

Imran Khan said that ending Nawaz Sharif cases was a deal. He said that no deal is accepted except for fair and transparent elections. It was said that the turn would be given later, first be a good man.

The PTI founder said that Shehbaz Sharif and Bajwa have a close relationship, adding Khawaja Asif used to be with Bajwa’s father-in-law.

He said that he had conveyed to Bajwa that he would not interfere in the army. He said, “I conveyed (to Bajwa) if it’s in country’s interest, I will withdraw, but if you want to make me retreat by force, I won’t.”

He said that he will not say anything on the question of Sheikh Rasheed reportedly taking Rs30 million from Shehryar Riaz for ticket.

The PTI founder expressed grief over the killing of Rehan Zeb, saying he was an enthusiastic activist.

Imran Khan said that Bushra Bibi has been confined to a darkened room in Banigala. It is better in prison than there, he lamented.

He alleged that the PMLN and PPP have hacked country’s election system. He alleged that “they” would pick up PTI’s agents and announce election results.

He said that all the money of the ruling class for years has been stashed abroad. ”The day I ask Zardari to save me will be the doomsday,” he said.
