RUDA, FPCCI mull over shaping urban development
LAHORE : Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) have organised an ‘Investment Reimagined’ event, a platform where public and private interests converged to explore concepts, perspectives and cooperative efforts shaping urban development and financial growth.
The collaborative initiative between Ravi Urban Development Authority and FPCCI took centre stage at this groundbreaking event, providing a forum for innovative thinkers to exchange viewpoints on creating an ideal environment for investment opportunities.
Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry Regional Chairman Zaki Ijaz, in his opening speech, emphasised Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s crucial role in supporting businesses and contributing to a conducive investment climate aligned with RUDA's vision for sustainable urban development. "We explore innovative approaches to attract investments, showcasing the Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry's commitment to shaping progressive economic policies and fostering a dynamic business environment," he said.
He said Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry remained dedicated to reimagining the investment landscape, ensuring our businesses thrive in a rapidly evolving economic paradigm, hand in hand with initiatives like RUDA.
Ravi Urban Development Authority COO Mansoor Janjua on this occasion outlined authority’s concept, emphasising sustainability and a business-friendly culture. He stated, "RUDA believes in nurturing an environment where investments not only thrive but contribute to the overall well-being of the region."
Ravi Urban Development Authority ED Commercial Kashif Qureshi provided a comprehensive overview of authority’s investment prospects, highlighting the authority's dedication to creating opportunities that drive economic growth.
ED Engineering Abdul Waheed briefed attendees on RUDA's proactive measures to address environmental challenges, including smog control measures, river training works, wastewater treatment plants and forestation efforts.
PBIT CEO and other senior officials also attended the event.
NGO’s services lauded
An NGO has announced building a hospital in which free medical treatment facilities, including surgeries will be provided.
The NGO Chairman Shahbaz Malik stated this while addressing a press conference at Lahore Press Club.
He said that Shahbaz Malik Foundation was also organising business awards on April 27 in London, in which personalities from journalism, culture and other fields will participate.
Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari, film director Syed Noor and others appreciated his effort.
