“As an accountant for a foreign-invested company, I am very busy. In the morning, after bringing my two children to kindergarten, I have to rush to work and often get to the market very late in the evening so I rarely buy fresh vegetables and meat to cook our meals,” says Nazia Batool.

“My husband was often upset about that. Recently, though, my friend gave me the telephone numbers of the traders that send foodstuffs to the house so I am saved time to buy vegetables and all that from the market,” says Faeza Shabbir.

“I simply have a shopping list delivered by traders’ employees to my house. The fee for hiring such services is none. The service helps me to buy food which can be cheaper than the same thing bought while shopping in the market on our own,” says Nargis Mohib.

“I also use this service. It is very convenient and the food is fresh. I am not really a good homemaker and I often get headaches thinking about doing the dishes. In the past, we often went to eat in restaurants but I was afraid of food poisoning. At least I was until this service came along. Thanks to the service, I only have to place an order for our favorite dishes. The food is affordable and hygienic,” says Zainab Zaidi.

“Thanks to the service, I have time to relax and take care of my children rather than spending hours at the market. Restaurant are some ordering services springing up in our area. Restaurants like these, for example, are offering delivery service via websites or over the telephone,” says Muhammad Ali.

“I am very happy with this service and I no longer have to elbow other people out of the way in crowded markets. This is particularly nice to have restaurants like this in Rawalpindi,” says Fahd Hussain.
