Two BS 21 officials shuffled

ISLAMABAD: Appointments and transfers have been made in the federal bureaucracy. Additional Secretary in-charge of the Ministry of National Food Security Captain (retd) Muhammad Mehmood has been removed from his post and directed to report to the Establishment Division. Additional Secretary Captain (retd) Muhammad Asif has been given the charge of Secretary National Food Security and Research Division. He has been given this charge for three months or till appointment of regular secretary. Both are Grade-21 officers of the Pakistan Administrative Service. According to sources, Mehmood Ahmed has been removed at the behest of caretaker minister Kausar Abdulla.

Dr Ayesha Saeed, Grade-20 OSD of Pakistan Administrative Service, has been posted as DG Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Lahore. Usman Ali Khan, OSD Grade-20, has been posted as Joint Secretary Planning and Development Division. Muhammad Sohail Khawaja, OSD Grade-19, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Education.

The services of OSD Aamir Atiq Khan Grade-19 have been entrusted to the government of Gilgit-Baltistan. The services of Pass Grade-19 OSD Kiran Khursheed have been handed over to Punjab Government. Grade-18 OSD Bilawal Abaro has been posted as Deputy Secretary Establishment Division under Section 10. Grade-18 OSD Sidra Anwar has been posted as Section Officer Cabinet Division.

Eight officers of the Police Service have been transferred. Ahmed Mukkaram, Grade-21 OSD of Police Service, has been posted as Senior Joint Secretary Poverty Alleviation Division. The services of Grade-21 OSD Muhammad Yusuf Malik have been handed over to the National Counter-Terrorism Authority (NECTA). Grade-20 OSD Nasir Mukhtar Rajput and Grade-20 OSD Qamar-ul-Zaman have been posted in the National Police Bureau.

Awaiting appointment Grade-20 officer Abdullah Sheikh has been posted in the Pakistan Railway Police. Grade-20 officer Captain (retd) Feroze Shah, who is awaiting appointment, has been posted in the Frontier Constabulary (FC) under Ministry of Home Affairs. The services of Muhammad Murad have been entrusted to the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan. Zulfiqar Awan, Grade-20 officer of DG Presidency, has been promoted to Grade-21. He will continue to perform duties in the President’s House. Deputy Secretary Economic Affairs Division Syed Wajid Ali Shah has been posted as Deputy Secretary Finance Division. The Establishment Division has issued notifications of these appointments, promotions and transfers.
