3 Levies men injured in Malakand grenade attack
BATKHELA: Three Levies personnel were severely injured in a hand grenade attack by unidentified persons on a Levies check-post in Dargai area of Malakand district on Thursday.
The Rescue 1122 personnel shifted the injured to the Dargai Hospital for medical treatment, while the attackers managed to flee the scene.
Those injured were identified as Javed Khan, Khalid Khan, and Jamil Khan, the personnel of the Malakand Levies.
Upon receiving information, Malakand Deputy Commissioner Shahid Khan Mohmand, Assistant Commissioner Dargai Muhammad Ali, Additional Assistant Commissioner Zaid Safi, Major of Malakand Levies Sami Bacha, and Post Commander Sabir Khan, along with other Levies personnel, reached the site and initiated a search operation for the arrest of the suspects.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Shahid Khan Mohmand said that the attackers threw a hand grenade and escaped by infiltrating nearby houses.
