Prof Rafiuddin passes away

LAHORE : Eminent researcher and noted Iqbaliyat expert, Prof Dr Rafiuddin Hashmi passed away here on Thursday evening.
One of the most distinguished scholars, Prof Dr Rafiuddin Hashmi was an academician and professor of Urdu and had served as head of Urdu Department in Oriental College, University of the Punjab. Rafiuddin Hashmi was born on 9 February, 1940 in Masriyal, District Chakwal and authored a number of books and research papers. The funeral prayer will be offered after Friday prayer at 1:45 at Multan Road, Mansoora while he will be laid to rest in the graveyard of Punjab University, New Campus.
