Impoverished state

Over the past few years, the intensity of poverty has increased in the country. Pakistan is in no position to compete for trade and investment in the international markets on account of poor governance and the persistent danger of economic collapse.
The widespread poverty has led to several social problems such as crime and helps perpetuate an exploitative labour market in which workers have little to no bargaining power. Unemployment and high inflation have exacerbated the situation and only made it more difficult for the lower-income groups to survive. It is the need of hour to take a proactive approach towards diminishing the rate of poverty in the nation.
