1,556 vehicles with fake number plates impounded

LAHORE : The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has identified 1,556 vehicles with fake and non-standard number plates in three weeks of this month.

Cases were filed against those responsible for putting fake number plates on vehicles, and the vehicles were impounded at police stations.

Injured man dies in hospital

A 60-year-old man expired in hospital on Tuesday. The identity of the victim could not be ascertained. The victim was injured in a traffic accident in the limits of Gowalmandi police four days ago. He was shifted to hospital where he expired Tuesday. The body was shifted to the morgue.

Eight unclaimed bodies buried

Edhi Foundation buried eight unclaimed bodies here in the City on Tuesday. The bodies were found in the areas of Sanda, Rang Mahal, Civil Lines, Garhi Shahu, Garden Town, Defence C, and Sherakot police stations. Edhi volunteers buried all the bodies in Saggian and Miani Sahib graveyards.

Body found

Body of an unidentified man was found near Bedian Road, Defence C, Tuesday. The decomposed body, yet to be identified, seemed to be 10 days old. It was suspected that the victim was murdered and later his body was thrown near a drain on Bedian Road, Defence C. The body was shifted to the morgue.

Man found dead

A 60-year-old man was found dead near Safanwala Chowk, Mozang, Tuesday. Some passersby spotted the body near Safanwala Chowk and informed the Mozang police station. Police suspected that the old man, yet to be identified, might have died of cold weather. The body was shifted to the morgue.
