‘Knowledge is primary catalyst for individual and societal well-being and success’

Students should embrace a wise quote of Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said, "Time is the trust (Amanat) of Allah, its proper use is worship (Ibadah)."

It is essential to prioritize and make good use of time. Cultivate a habit of reading newspapers and informative books beyond the academic curriculum. Ms. Sadia Rashid, President of Hamdard Foundation Pakistan (HFP), expressed these views during a ceremony of distributing cheques and certificates for the Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said Memorial Scholarship-2024 Programme.

The ceremony, organized by Hamdard Foundation Pakistan, took place at the Arena Hall, Bahria Town Tower, was presided over by Ms. Sadia Rashid. Renowned social worker Ansar Burney attended as the chief guest. His wife, Shaheen Ansar Burney, and HFP Director Syed Muhammad Arsalan also attended the event.

Ms. Sadia Rashid said the true guarantor and primary catalyst for individual and societal well-being, success, and prosperity is knowledge. “Devote your full attention to your education. Children should show respect to their elders, as this garners high regard from Allah Almighty. Ensure to maintain a proper sleep routine, going to bed on time and rising early in the morning. This practice will afford you more time for your tasks and contribute to good health. Avoid excessive use of smartphones,” she advised.

Ansar Burney said today’s guests of honour are the students present here, who have distinguished themselves academically, bringing pride to their parents. Knowledge is the legacy of the believer, and young individuals must prioritize their education. “In the eye of Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said, you children are the future architects of the nation. All of you have to play a crucial role in shaping the future of Pakistan. Shaheed Hakim Mohammed is present here with us in spirit. According to the Quran, martyrs are alive, and we must humbly submit to this divine decree.”

He further said “A truly great individual is someone who guides future generations through their character and qualities, and Allah bestowed this honour upon Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said. HFP is actively involved in enlightening the youth with the light of knowledge and fostering a valuable spirit of patriotism within them. May Allah bestow success upon Ms. Sadia Rashid in this sacred mission.”

This year 2024, Hamdard Foundation Pakistan has awarded cash scholarships exceeding one crore rupees to over 250 matric and intermediate students nationwide for achieving outstanding academic performance. During the ceremony, each matric student received a cash scholarship of Rs25,000, while intermediate students were granted Rs50,000 in cash.
