Man poisoned to death over property
LAHORE:A 40-year-old man was poisoned to death over property dispute in the Ghaziabad police area on Sunday. The victim was identified as Imran Butt, son of Nayyar Butt. The police and forensic team collected the evidence and started the investigation. The body was shifted to the morgue.
Child among seven injured in firing
Around seven people, including a child and a woman, were injured by firing in two different areas here Sunday. Four people, including a child, were injured in crossfire between two groups in the Shafiqabad police area. Police said that a woman related issue had led to this incident. The injured were shifted to hospital. Meanwhile, three people, including a woman, were injured by firing in the limits of Gowalmandi police. The injured identified as Imran, 26, Sultan, 23, and a woman, yet to be identified, were shifted to hospital where their condition was said to be out of danger.
Youth found dead
A 23-year-old youth was found dead in the limits of Ichhra police on Sunday. There was a wound mark at the back of the victim's head which implied that he was killed. Two boys took the victim to the hospital and disappeared. The victim identified as Dawood Zahid had gone to attend a wedding ceremony. Police said that investigation will establish whether it was a murder or an accident. The body was shifted to the morgue.
Woman found dead
A 70-year-old woman was found dead near Chand Ground, Shahdara, on Sunday. The woman, yet to be identified died of cold weather. The woman was mentally disabled and could not be identified. The body was shifted to the mortuary by Edhi Ambulance. Meanwhile, a 50-year-old man was found dead on the side of the road in the limits Green Town police. The victim identified as Syed Shaukat Hussain Shah, a resident of Attock, apparently died of natural causes.
