LAHORE: The provincial government has issued a PFC (Provincial Finance Commission) share of Rs1.2 billion to 4,015 union councils of Punjab.
According to a notification issued by the Finance Department, a PFC share of Rs300,000 has been issued to each union council. Earlier, a Rs150,000 monthly PFC share was being released to the union councils, which has increased by 100%. This grant has been transferred to the accounts of deputy commissioners from where it will be transferred to the accounts of union councils.
A grant of Rs82 million has been issued to 274 UCs of the Metropolitan Corporation Lahore; Rs29.7 million for union councils of district Sheikhupura; Rs37.5m for Kasur; Rs10.95m for Nankana Sahib, Rs49.8m for Gujranwala; Sialkot Rs44.4m, Gujarat Rs38.7m, Narowal Rs29.4m, Rawalpindi Rs52.2m, Sargodha Rs55.8m; Faisalabad Rs103.8m, Multan Rs55.5m, Khanewal Rs25.5m, Vehari Rs31.5m, Lodhran Rs21m, Sahiwal Rs30m, Okara Rs 42m, Pakpattan Rs10m. A share of Rs 6.2m, Bahawalpur Rs32.7m Bahawalnagar Rs40m, Rahim Yar Khan Rs41.7m and Rs34.5m has been released for the union councils of DG Khan district.
