Tareen pledges uplift of NA-149

He said that he would focus on significant development work for the constituency in the future

MULTAN: Over 20 chairmen and vice chairmen of union councils have declared their support for Jehangir Khan Tareen, Chairman of the Istehkam Party Pakistan and candidate from NA-149 Multan-II, pledging to actively contribute to his victory. In a press conference held at the residence of former MPA Zaheeruddin Alezai on Friday, Jehangir Tareen expressed gratitude to the local government representatives for their endorsement.

Tareen, addressing the crowded press conference, revealed his long-standing desire to contest elections in Multan. Due to various reasons, he had been unable to pursue this opportunity earlier.

He said that he would focus on significant development work for the constituency in the future, particularly prioritising initiatives for the youth.Expressing his commitment to the upcoming elections on February 8, he said that people from other cities would witness the progress made in NA-149. He expressed a wish for a government that could work for five years under all circumstances.

He condemned Iran’s attack and expressed hope for a resolution to the issue.Jehangir Tareen emphasised that he would serve the constituency to the extent that people would identify with and appreciate him.

He highlighted the unity in contesting elections and working together.He declared his commitment to NA-149 and recalled that the previous government was formed by consolidating independent candidates.

He announced special packages for those using 300 units and stressed the importance of agriculture as the foundation of Pakistan. Tareen advocated for fair prices for peasants, supporting farmers to increase production per acre for the greater good of the country. He concluded by saying that a country’s sovereignty is intricately tied to its economy.
