LAHORE: The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) continues raids in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad, disconnecting another 316 connections and imposing Rs5.6 million fine.
In Lahore, the regional team disconnected 17 illegal connections, while 24 consumers were fined Rs3.29 million for gas theft and using compressor.
In Rawalpindi, the team disconnected 74 illegal connections and fined Rs0.14 million for gas theft. In Islamabad, the regional team disconnected six illegal connections. In Multan, one illegal connection was disconnected, while another 49 consumers were fined for using compressor.
The team also lodged an FIR against gas theft. In Peshawar and Karak, the company disconnected 69 illegal connections and imposed a fine of Rs2.05 million for gas theft.
In Sahiwal, six connections were disconnected for using compressor, while one illegal connection was disconnected.
In Sheikhupura, 49 illegal connections were disconnected while a fine of Rs0.06 million was imposed for gas theft.
In Bahawalpur, the team disconnected 10 connections for using compressor. In Faisalabad, the team disconnected three illegal connections, while seven were fined for using compressor. The team also imposed a fine of Rs0.06 million for theft.
