‘No compromise on quality in uplift projects’

LAHORE : Chairman Planning and Development Board Iftikhar Ali Sahoo visited Safari Zoo and Lahore Ring Road and reviewed the ongoing development works there.

Secretary Forest Mudassar Waheed Malik and DG Wildlife Mubin Elahi while giving a briefing said that work is continued 24 hours in seven days a week for the timely completion of this project. The main gate, parking, reception area, play area, camping area, special places for animals and other under construction works would be completed within few days. Sahoo said that wide range of trees, such as bamboo, amaltas and neem should be planted to maintain the natural beauty of the Safari Park. He further said that civil work should be kept to a minimum and the construction work should be completed by January 31 in any case. Sahoo said that the establishment of this modern zoo of its kind will provide the citizens with the best entertainment facility and Safari Park will be made state of art soon. Later on, Chairman P&D Board visited the Southern Loop of Lahore Ring Road projects, and observed the development work there. The Chairman was updated on the LRR's progress by the FWO, Nespak team. While giving a briefing about the ongoing development projects, he was informed by the authorities that all the relevant departments and contractors are trying hard to complete the Lahore Ring Road project by January 31.

P&D Board Chief highlighted the importance of LRR project and said that it would shorten travel times, reduce traffic, and offer a quicker and more comfortable way to travel around the city.
