‘ThinkFest’ to unveil Intellectual Odyssey today
LAHORE:The seventh annual literary festival, ‘ThinkFest,’ themed ‘Winter of Discontent,’ is set to commence at Alhamra Arts Council today (Saturday).
Over the course of two days, the festival will delve into the country's current state within the global context. Various discussions on global climate change, ethnic and religious discrimination, and elections are scheduled at different venues of the literary event. On the festival's inaugural day, former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and former minister Miftah Ismail will engage in a dialogue with Jugnu Mohsin. The second day will feature former Senator and Minister Sherry Rehman as part of the discussion. Federal Minister Fawad Hasan Fawad will shed light on privatisation issues in the policy panel, while the election panel will see Federal Minister for Information Murtaza Solangi and Najam Sethi reviewing the election landscape. The festival will also host speakers from the US and UK, enriching the dialogue. ‘ThinkFest’ goes beyond literary discussions, incorporating classical music, Punjabi Sangat, and poetry into its diverse programme.
