Record uplift projects launched as CM in KP, says Mehmood Khan

MINGORA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTIP) vice-chairman Mehmood Khan on Friday said that a record development projects were completed in the health, education, communication sectors during his tenure as chief minister.

“Billions of rupees were spent on development projects in KP, including Swat district. We had released billions of funds to Malakand, which the PDM government transferred to other districts,” he told a public gathering at Kabal Town in Swat.

Mahmood Khan claimed that more than 12 public sector universities, 25 hospitals and roads were built in the far-flung areas of the province during his government.

“We had allocated huge fund to the Chakdarra Expressway, construction of universities and connected roads,” he said, adding that the rescue services were established in almost all districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in order to provide quality services to the poor people of the province

He further said that thousands of police personnel were regularised and health cards increased from 300000 to 1million to facilitate people.He maintained that the ongoing development projects worth billions of rupees were the projects of his government.

He urged the public to choose those people as their representatives who could work for the development of the province.Earlier, the local leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN), Abdul Ghafoor and Usman Ghani, announced to join the PTIP.Former provincial minister Mohibullah Khan and provincial president of PTIP Habib Ali Shah were also present on the accession.
