JUIF candidate escapes roadside blast

KHAR: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUIF) candidate for the February 8 election escaped unhurt in a roadside blast in Bar Kamar area of Mamond tehsil in Bajaur district on Wednesday, a police official said.
District Police Officer Kashif Zulfiqar said that Qari Saifullah, a candidate for PK-19, was on his way home in the Zagai area when his vehicle was targeted with an improvised explosive device. The JUIF leader, he said, remained unhurt in the blast; however, his vehicle was damaged in the explosion.
