ISLAMABAD: Former director general (DG) Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hameed was summoned by the Faizabad Dharna Inquiry Commission (FDIC) on Friday, but he did not show up, according to sources.
Therefore, the commission issued him another notice through the Ministry of Defence, directing him to join the inquiry, added the sources.
The former ISI chief had been asked to record his statement in the second week of January 2024.
Earlier, Faiz Hameed was summoned by the commission for the second week of December 2023, and then for Friday (December 29). But he ignored the notices.
Faiz was summoned to record his statement on the sit-in staged by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) at the Faizabad flyover. This is for the third time that he has been summoned for January 2024.
