KWSC initiates urgent repairs on Pipri pumping station’s main water line

The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) on Wednesday announced that they were currently engaged in urgent repair work on an aging main water line at the Pipri Pumping Station.

According to the KWSC, ongoing maintenance was being carried out on the 54-inch line at the Pipri Pumping Station, following a water line leak near Steel Town on Tuesday. The spokesperson for the water corporation reported that maintenance efforts had been underway for the line for the past 12 hours.

The repair work was expected to conclude by Wednesday night, as per the spokesperson's update. In light of the maintenance activities, water supply had been temporarily disrupted in various areas, including Malir, Shah Latif Town, Steel Town, Landhi, Future Mor, and Manzil Pump. The spokesperson reassured residents that normal water supply was anticipated to resume by Thursday morning (today).
