Hand grenade thrown at hujra of PTI ex-MPA
BATKHELA: Unidentified people lobbed a hand-grenade into the hujra of the former member provincial assembly, Peer Musawwar Khan Ghazi, on Monday, sources said. It was learnt that the hujra or male guest house of the former MPA was attacked with a handgrenade as soon as he reached his adjacent house.
“ The sound of a motorcycle approaching the hujra was heard and it was followed by a loud explosion,” said a nephew of the PTI former lawmaker who was also Malakand District Development Advisory Committee during the PTI government while confirming the attack to this correspondent.
He said there was no casualty but the gate of the hujra was damaged in the attack. A contingent of the Malakand Levies reached the sight headed by Subedar Major Sami Bacha. The official said the matter was being investigated. Musawwar Khan Ghazi told reporters a protest would be staged today (Tuesday) at the main chowk of Dargai to condemn the attack.
He flayed the administration for withdrawing security from him despite the fact that elections were round the corner and law and order situation had worsened.
