Commissioner, CCPO discuss encroachment removal strategy

LAHORE:The anti-encroachment crackdown strategy was discussed in a meeting chaired by Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Randhawa and CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamiana on Monday.

Administrator MCL and DC Lahore Rafia Haider and DIG Operations Lahore Ali Nasir Rizvi participated in the meeting. The preparations for anti-encroachment operations have been completed for the flow of traffic in the city on the instructions of the caretaker Chief Minister.

Commissioner Lahore was told in the briefing that the district administration and police administration have held meetings with traders' organisations at the town level and at the SHO level.

Commissioner Lahore said that CM Punjab has extended the start of operation from Tuesday to Wednesday. He said that 23 points have been declared as hotspots for encroachment in the city, on which intensive operations will be conducted.

Commissioner Lahore said that all kinds of encroachments, including temporary and permanent will be removed in the operation. He said that District Administration, Lahore Police, MCL, LDA, Traffic Police, Lepark teams will participate in the anti-encroachment operation.

CCPO Lahore said that there will be an indiscriminate anti-encroachment operation across the city from Wednesday and anti-encroachment teams will be accompanied by heavy police presence. He said that according to the government instructions, there is full publicity for the operation. There will be arrests for interference.

All the ACs, Police Officers, MCLMOs, LDA Directors, Traffic Police Officers and officers of other departments participated in the meeting.

PSCA reunites five kids with parents

The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) Monday reunited five lost children with their parents. The PSCA received calls on emergency helpline 15 and its Lost and Found centre traced all calls and after verification handed over the children to their parents through police. The children range from 3 to 10 years old.

According to the PSCA spokesperson, the authority has reunited more than 5,000 people with their families.
