Swat-based journalist dies

MINGORA: A senior journalist and chief editor of daily Shumaal in Swat valley, Ghulam Farooq, aka Speen Dada, died of a protracted illness on Monday.
His funeral prayer will be offered today, Tuesday, at 11am in Mingora, Swat.Ghulam Farooq had been suffering from kidney problems for the last few years and was undergoing treatment in Islamabad.
He was known as a credible journalist in his native Swat as well as in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Like many other journalists in Swat, the late Ghulam Farooq was a caring man and was also famous for his hospitality.
